This Privacy Policy explains what data the Chrome extension “Simplio Connect for WA” processes, why, and how it is handled. It applies only to that extension.

The extension is published by SIMPLIO GLOBAL S.R.L., 077131 Ilfov, Romania, which is the data controller for this processing. Contact: support@simplio.ro.

The extension is a companion tool for businesses that already use the Simplio platform. It connects the business’s own WhatsApp Web session to their Simplio account, so appointment messages queued in Simplio are delivered through that session. A Simplio account is required; the extension performs no function without one.

1. What data we process

Your Simplio company ID, connection token and server address, used to authenticate this browser to your own Simplio account.

The text of messages sent and received in your WhatsApp Web session while the extension is active, used to deliver the messages you queued in Simplio.

Client phone number, WhatsApp identifier, display name and profile picture URL, used to match a conversation to the correct client record.

Sent, delivered and read acknowledgements and error states, used to show message status in your Simplio account.

Whether WhatsApp Web is open, logged in or unavailable, used to avoid sending messages that cannot be delivered.

2. Where the data goes

Account configuration is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to anyone other than your own Simplio server.

All other data is transmitted only between your browser, WhatsApp Web and the Simplio server that hosts your account (channel.simplio.ro).

No data is sent to any other server, and the extension contacts no third-party service.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.

We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, or for any purpose unrelated to the extension’s single purpose.

We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

We do not read your browsing history. The extension accesses only WhatsApp Web and Simplio domains.

4. Legal basis and retention

We process this data to perform the contract between Simplio and the business using the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Message and client data is stored in the business’s own Simplio account and retained while that account is active, in line with the customer agreement. Configuration stored in the browser is removed when the extension is uninstalled or its data cleared.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability. Write to support@simplio.ro. You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP).

6. Security

Communication between the extension and Simplio servers uses encrypted HTTPS/WSS connections. Each business connects with its own token and data is stored separately per account.
